I want to fish the river, so I'd like on the runs shallow... but I would like to go out on the smal lakes, so I would like one that dosen't beat me to death...I want to be able to stand on a raised deck to fish...

I was looking at a used one of these... does anone have this type of boat?  Should I be looking at some other design?  I have no expearence with boats, it's all new to me.

I don't know boats well enough to look at that picture and tell you the mfg. But aluminum fishing boats are fine. If you are going to do a lot of river fishing in shallow water you might want to look at tunnel hulls and a jet drive motor.

in my amateur opionion I'd say an aluminum boat at least 16' in length.  The one in your picture looks fantastic!  I see the used ones on ebay, etc. between $3,000.00 to $6,000.00

I REALLY think I am going to get this one... it's 17' x 6', the shape of the one above, no leaks, comes with trailer and a 60hp Evenrude that runs good....

the carpet needs to be replaced, it is worn, faded and ripped... the main and forward decks are good, the rear deck is soft (needs replaced - but I can do the work)

It isn't green like the picture, but just the bare aluminum... (maybe I'll buff it out, make it shine like chrome )

well u better only fish when its cloudy

i say this because i have a 18 foot double deep and wide

wood floor only lasts about a yr or 2

i went with an aluminum sheets for the floor no more worry about rot

but she sure is shinny like blinding when the sun is out

i rubbed it down with steel wool to dull it

worked but not much

few pitstops jumping in and out on muddy banks fixed my problem

john boats hold there value pretty good

used is cheaper but then u have other peoples headaches

[used] u can go though and set it up to ur liking

[new] u get what u buy

so if u can find new that has everything just how u want it get it

i bought my boat off a little old lady it was her husbands before he past away

so my boat is older then me

had it for about 5 years now

i bought my boat motor trailor $700

shes not pretty but works like a charm

If the engine is good the engine alone is close to that.
