A buddy of mine sometimes uses gunstock finish and his projects end pretty good looking with it

VERY NICE! am wood worker my self, mostly furnature, and small jewelry boxes.

I used Cabot stain. I believe the color is light oak, then sprayed it with Rustoleum clear lacquer.

Very nice!  I do woodworking, but haven't had the nerve, nor the patience, to take up carving.  Well done!
