Hey, I  have a cool tip!

Ok, so you're on your way to fish and you pick up a 6 pack (pop, of course) and some ice for your cooler

Ok, here is the tip buy or bring some salt as well.

If you put the cans in and pack ice around them it will take approximately 30 minutes to cool the cans to 35 degrees (from room/outside tempiture)

Fill the cooler with water and ice and it will take approximately 15 minutes to cool the cans to 35 degrees

Add a cup of salt to the ice water (mix with your hand) and it will take approximately 5 minutes to cool the cans to 35 degrees

It works, try it out. Cool way to cool down

just buy the beer cold already :)

Hm... me and a couple of my buddies at Tech did our own little experiment and found that it's closer to 7 or 8 minutes with a 6 pack and a bag of ice with a little water mixed in a 5 gallon bucket.

The salt for sure gets the beer colder though - I've had it slush-up in the cooler before.

Just my 2 cents on my second favorit subject.
