grumman boat question

Featured Replies

I'm looking at buying a 14' Grumman aluminum semi v boat . . . anybody have any experience or recommendations?  should I run with it?  avoid it??

thanks

i had a grumman 17' aluminum bass boat....i don't remember the model name..i think i bought it in 94 and sold it 3 yrs ago..it had a 50 hp evinrude and was a very good boat..i never had a problem with it..only reason i sold it was i wanted something better set up for more storage and the wood decking seemed to have a couple soft spots...i think the model was bass outlaw

Once I had an old Grumman jon boat, the thing was built like a tank. Very well built jon boats with heavier gauge aluminum than most others. If nobody's punched holes in it or wrapped it around a tree then it's probably a pretty good boat.

I fish out of a 14ft Grumman Jon boat. I love it. It's more stable than most boats it's size. It is solid.

thanks guys, that's what I needed to hear.  I'm waiting on a pic to make sure it is something I want to drive out to look at.  Hopefully it's in good shape and I'll be set.

Grumman has a long reputation for making good stuff. JMHO
