Heddon Spit'n Image

Featured Replies

What are your opinions of the Heddon Spit'n Image? I've never fished them before and would like so information on them.

Thanks

Absolutely in my top 3 favorites for topwater, when the bass want this type of action they explode on this type of plug, plus visually its amazing to watch

My Spittin' Images have accounted for some of the best topwater action I've ever had, including one day when I hit one 25 yd stretch and landed 20lb on FIVE casts!   And that ain't no fish story 8-)   I've had the best luck on the shad finish in the larger size.

I like the Spit N' Image......but found a new favorite walk the dog bait in the Sammy 100 by Lucky Craft.  Its soooo easy to work, and looks sweet, bass love it too.  Worth the extra $ and you shouldn't lose it.

Much better as a twitch bait than a walking bait.  One of my favorites, just twitch the rod tip and shake it in place, leaving it in the strike zone longer, drives 'em nuts.

The Spit'n Image is a great bait.  Short and fat like a shad and easy to walk.  I've done well with them.

Seagulls also like it a lot.

Brad, Have you ever seen those in larger sizes?  Special runs or anything?  I was using the one Excalibur spook for yrs before I realized there were a few different sizes within the Excaliber series.

Russ I got 2 larger ones I dnever seen before in a batch of used topwaters i got from Fluke Ask him. I had never seen em this bi I can't wait for the next 2 weeks or sop to pass the topwater bite will be on at the Chunk. I only use Spittin Images and jointed Rapalas  :)

I also use Jitterbugs but i have yet to land a fish on one

I use the Heddon Spit'n image Jr  and Spit'n image all the time, and catch a lot of fish them.  I prefer these over a Pop'R
