Redfish Near Amelia Island
I am going down to Amelia Island for memorial day weekend. I really want to try to catch some redfish. I was contemplating chartering a boat, but I would rather put the money towards a rod/reel and go at it myself. Anyone have any suggestion/advice of where I should go. Thanks Jason

Fishing Glasses, What Do You Use?
i have been wearing costas for the last couple of years and really enjoy them. They really are top notch glasses. Good glasses make a world of difference on the water. Regardless what you wear, get a good pair of polarized glasses, your vision is worth the extra $'s.

Some of the Kistler rods were recently on sale online, and i purchased two of them. The Kistler KBSBS80 Big SwimBait Special and the Kistler KDSS69 Drop Shot Special. I paired the SwimBait special with a Shimano Cardiff 400A, that i got for 62 dollars (Greentop in VA has some good deals on reels going on right now). With tax and shipping fees, the setup cost me 155. Not bad, for what i hope will turn out to be a nice swimbait setup. Any suggestions on what line to throw on there. Trying to decide what to put on the Drop Shot special. If you have this rod, let me know what you have it paired with, and what you think of it. Thanks Jason- New guy...Looking for some ponds in Harrisonburg
I graduated from JMU in 06. Never had any luck at lake Shenandoah. There is a golf course, right near lake shenandoah, which was pretty loaded. Sometimes they would kick you off, sometimes they wouldnt. Like Dominiondan said, the North River around bridgewater is a good place to fish. When its warm, i would get in the river right at the bridge and work my way down the river. There is also a park about 1/2 mile upriver from the bridge, where i would go when it was colder. Another good spot to go is out port republic on the shenandoah river. Head east on port republic, you will cross over the river, and there will be a park on your left about .25 miles down the road. This time of year there is some decent trout fishing up in the state parks and national forests.- Hey Kistler rods freaks!
