I just bought a 12' Mirrocraft v hull.  I'm not too sure what year it is, but, it has a 4 year old 8hp Johnson and a newer trailer.  I'm pretty anxious to start working on it.  I'd like to have front and rear decks, seats, compartments, trolling motor, and fish finder installed.  This site has given me a bunch of ideas.  Oh, I'll be posting some pics probably next week.  I'll do some before and after stuff.  If anyone has any suggestions, or has experience with this boat, I'd love to hear about it.   ;D

Congratulation on your new boat just one word if the bottom is 32 in. I would not go to high up on the decks may get tippy on you. Good Luck on your build and try to think out of the box easier to do things now before the decks are on all so run your wiring thru pvc pipe in case you want to or need to pull new wires.

I'm too sure how wide the bottom is...I'll have to measure.  I've got a bad hip, so I'm going to need this thing as stable as possible.  I'm having someone help me who has experience with this kind of thing, so, hopefully we won't run into too many problems.  Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, no more shore fishin' for me!  I bought it from a family friend, so I got it for a nominal amount of money.  I think the jet engine may be a little too much.  My wife would probably have an issue with it too!  ;D

im in  the middle of a project similar to yours....my boat is 48" wide so its stable.im in the process of cutting out the hatches and installing the seat base.almost ready for carpet....................advise i want to give you reshearch the web for any info needed,theres tons of it out there and take your time and do it right ,remember that PT lumber reacts with aluminum and will eat right through it so make sure you seal them well before carpeting ..........i have a bunch of pics as i go forward on this boat .........good luck and have fun at it

Congrats on your new boat bro! I bought my first one last summer, a 12' v hull also. I learned alot from this website and had alot of fun modding it, I'm getting ready to install a small front deck for another pedestal/swivel seat where my little up front bench currently is now, hopefully- a "one day job" as soon as the weather breaks here in Northeast Ohio. I love my 12 footer and you'll love the v-hull, it can take the waves a little better than some of the flat john boats, and alot less drag in the water! Wow, cool boat Delmonte.  I love the lights under the seat.  I think I'll definitely steal that idea from you.  I'm also contemplating doing the carpet like you did on the inside.  Have you seen any drawbacks to this?  Oh, and by the way, I'm going to try to upload some pics of my rig sometime tomorrow.  Thanks for the help.

I used to have a 15ft mirrocraft, which i liked a lot.  It was extremely deep and very stable.  

Thanks, as far as the carpet up the sides, I just used outdoor carpet glue from Home Depot, and so far its held like cement. Spread it thin- it goes a long way. SDCOLL did hell of a nice job on his carpet, and lots of great photos too! Good luck Arty, and hurry up and get that thing done before that upstate N.Y. weather gets really nice. Del 8-)

SDCOLL, how long is the boat?  You did a great (professional) job with that carpet.  And, like Delmonte, you too did the carpet on the inside?  I'm still wondering whether or not I should paint, or carpet the inside.  Looks great.

And yeah Del, the weather up here is getting nicer (68 degrees yesterday!), and it's making me pretty anxious.  Hopefully I'll get this project started this week. 8-)
