  3. well that's simple......wachusett res hold 4-5 different state records...and you wont be shoulder to shoulder with anybody
  4. i wouldnt and the only place i would keep fish in this state would be the quabbin but that just me........i use to fish below the dam from shore and did alright with the smallmouth but nothing big.......but did that a friends boat above the dam and fished up to the bridge with no luck but that was about a month ago( too early)
  5. was this fish reported to fish & game?i though i read somewhere that some state mandate that this is done....anyone else know anything about that? from what i read they fight like crazy for its size
  6. show off ...j/k nice fish.....for me on the other hand been out 9 times and i was lucky enough to catch a small branch, really starting to think someone put a curse on me >

  9. here is the link to the project that im working on hope any of this helps http://picasaweb.google.com/sdcwonderer/Boat?feat=directlink#5314560169985308306
  10. im in the middle of a project similar to yours....my boat is 48" wide so its stable.im in the process of cutting out the hatches and installing the seat base.almost ready for carpet....................advise i want to give you reshearch the web for any info needed, theres tons of it out there and take your time and do it right ,remember that PT lumber reacts with aluminum and will eat right through it so make sure you seal them well before carpeting ..........i have a bunch of pics as i go forward on this boat .........good luck and have fun at it
  11. got hundreds there over a couple of yrs but nothing over 2 1/2 lbs, still fun tho, haven't been in 3-4 yr
  12. best of luck to ya...i use to fish below the dam in the lowell/dracut stretch but never this early in the season tho ...tons of smallies in there
  13. im thinking of trying the concord river or the nashua river on saturday, drove by them today and there ready to go
  14. no action on the mack? theres all kinds of fish in there
  15. i tend to agree with this, carb adjustment don't move by themselves......i use marine stable all the time and so far so good.....my 2 cents thats all
  16. the diamond tread pattern that i used in the past was already done.the company had bought the material like that either way the best of luck to you
  17. i go up there just about every yr to see the family and go fishing for smallmouth in the hoyt NB area, got my biggest pickerel out of there 27"
  18. that does seam a little steep to me......your wife don't sew?if you take them seats out and carefully take the seat apart you'll have all the cut pattern and all the material and stitching patterns also, that the hard part but once that's done you put it on just like you took it off.....;but then again i use to do furniture upholstery myself several yrs back so its harder then it sounds i guess.........its a dying trade so the rates are there
  19. gees i can see why your jonesing to get out, those smallies are unbelievable i need to hit maine this yr for some r&r with those smallies 8-)
  20. pros and cons as fascasterjo said,i had a Jon and all i had was a trolling motor so needless to say it was slow(drag) but it was sturdy as hell tho... how r you making out with the wheel contraption for the pontoon?
  21. guys this ain't that complicated, make your own out of a nice piece of oak like 10x4 ,you can drill or cut for cup holders and so on for the pliers and a hole for a tray and use a glad tray that you buy sandwich meat in stain it,paint it,varnish it or what ever then screw it to the bottom of the seat here an example and i think im making one for myself
  22. ya i had heard about that hole getting clod up with mud dirt and other things,a friend of mine replace the pump and everything else until he realized what it was.................the inlet tube was the problem
  23. sweet deal,i started fishing out of a pontoon last yr and it was my best yr ever .i put the trolling motor ,fish finder ,anchor on mine and when i got into those weedy coves the oars are great for moving around..... silent and deadly :-X ................i got the Colorado xt
  24. hey guys and gals central ma here and i also have a fishing problem anyways i got as far west as the Connecticut river and as far south as Webster lake also fish the mack and fished all in between........fish out of the pontoon,12'v and buddies 17' bass tracker......ill bet a 20 spot that were all roaring to get a wet line
