  1. i say hands down that you know what your doing at the q ive seen some of your trophies from last yr you must be itching to go I'm sure
  2. yuppers i fished that place for a few yrs when i was living there....caught a walleye in there too
  3. for me its not a tipsy issue vs the 2 but the amount of drag.....v hull has less drag alot less then a flat bottom.i think that pipsy issue would be the same but what do i know :-/
  4. huh go figure i didnt even think that there was any other way to use it.........
  5. i always used the Berkley vanish line at 8 lbs but with all the weeds and lily pads that i fish lately I'm trying the fireline crystal line at 6 lbs and its got a 2lbs diameter and so far i absolutely love it.the biggest difference i noticed was its castability of it.....
  6. well i have been fishing the mnt watchusett areas and the groton areas too with some good success, in fact ive been getting some good weight to boot (love the fishing this time of yr)...........when all else fails as far as bait a #3 wide gap along with a 5" senko works like crazy......heres the trick people slow it the heck down,i mean fish it slow real slow.in these summer heats bass tend to not fallow anything to far and long. just to make my point i fished a lily pad that was like 10ft by 10 ft and i fished it for 15 minute with nothing but on the last cast i got a 5 1/4 lbs lmb..............just my 2 cent folks
  7. there 2 boat ramps to that place, one ramp is more for the trout fishing because of its depth and the other is more for warm water species.that section of quin is called flint pond and the boat ramp is off rt 20.i have never been to that part but i do know that there heavy boat traffic there so choose wisely on your timing..........im adding a link to the map of the place hope it works http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dfw/habitat/maps/ponds/pdf/dfwquins.pdf
  8. thanks redtail, good to hear , sounds like ill hitting it atfer 6 on a nice evening 8-)

  13. lol good that you laugh it off,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but its funny how that Budweiser song came to mind when i saw that..."real men of genius"...lol on another note i had that happen in my early fishing days
  14. hey tokyo tony should of taken a pic of that wheel set up for others to see and possably do the same.that pontoon is a nice set up, i have the same one.i do agree with the weight of this float its really deceiving aint it..................
  15. wow i had never hear of this before, but it makes sence i guess.something to try next time i lunch while fishing but just 1 question tho when this happens wheres the hookset?in there gut or throat?
  16. i would say 3-4 but what do i know..nice bass none the less tho
  17. i always use senkos but when nothing hits a pop-r and white spinerbait
  18. funny how this shows up because i got skunked last night.this river is cursed (dead to me) because ive been going the there 2-3 times a yr for 3-5 now.i have seen 5lbs+ lmb come out of there but all i get are small pickerel > by the way this river hold bass torney twice a yr but thats the only place thats like this for me of all the places i go
  19. ive been looking for smb ponds/lakes in southern nh and came across laurel lake in fitz anyone fish there or know anything about this place?wheres a good place to launch a cartoper there also if theres anyone fishing from a float tube/pontoon float and want to wet a line in this area let me know........ :-/
  20. i dont know if any of this helps but as far as ponds its always been a hit and a miss for me,in the ponds that i went into i was using a grub/jighead combo in rocky areas.for the pass couple of yrs now the only place i can catch smallies are in the merrimac with darting shads (plastic fish like lures) with great success along with along with small torpidos.it is said by alot of people i talk with to have good luck with spinerbaits but i only get pickerel with those.now when i fish for smallies in rivers up north i set up just like i would for lmb and have great results but where i got theres no lmb.hope any of this helps.let us know how you make out.
  21. 8-)thats the exact set up i use and its a perfect fit for the colorado.
  22. just wanted to hello and to say that we have our our place now i see.i pontoon float central ma ponds rivers if there's any tuber or floaters wanting to wet a line hit me up.now on another note i don't kill pickerel nor any other fish but there is this place i fish that they have been doing this for yrs now and the only fish this pond has is lmb, smb, sunfish and needless to say i rarely catch anything under 2.5 lbs and 4-5 r common.oh by the way don't bother asking where cause i don't kiss and tell now i hear the subury river has big fish well lets see cause im getting ready to hit that place hard.
