I was just given a pistol grip ugly stick casting 6ft rod. WhaT kind of reel do I need for this? Can I use a bait caster on it? newbie sorry if it's a dumb question.

    A baitcasting reel or a spin-cast reel.

    Either a Zebco 33 like mentioned above or budget level baitcaster to get you started.
