Finesse rod

Featured Replies

Looking for a casting rod to throw weighted wacky rigs and shakey heads. Looking for something 6'10" to 7'. I want the shorter rod for the ability to skip docks. Any help is appreciated!

What`s your price range your looking at? And How light are you looking to throw? I`ve been staring at the kistler helium 3 med light for a little while now and want to pair it up with an Aldebaran for a finesse setup. But that's just me though. I`m sure you`ll get a better answer or suggestion with a little more info

200-250 range. I'm actually looking for a rod for an aldebaran. By light do you mean action whise or weight? I'd like it to be fairly lightweight. The action is what I don't know about. I've always been a fan of the heavier action rods

Like how heavy of a shaky head are you planning on throw? 1/8ish?  This is the rod I'm looking at https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Kistler_Helium_Casting_Rods/descpage-KHECTS.html?from=basres I`m looking at the 7ft med fast model

I think you just made up my mind. The 7ft med extra fast is what I believe I'm looking for. Thank you for the help!

I believe the med light would be too light for my taste.

Then go with the med or med heavy. I`m sure others have different suggestions that's just what I`m interested in. I`m sure that could change when the time comes

I bought a Tatula TATC6101MXB and it would do very well with shaky heads and wacky jigs.  It is rated M/XF and would make a great finesse caster.  I have not been able to test it out yet but I'll use it for finesse and small cranks.

I was in Lake fork marina and had my hands on a fantasista 7 ml 1/8-3/8 . Thought my core would fit perfectly on top
