Bob Sandlin Winter Fishing
Don’t run east of the 21 bridge unless you know where you’re going lots of big ass timber right in the middle. There’s also timber in the main lake but it’s clear if you run down the middle of the channel

how much slack line do you have dangling from rod end at cast?
Don’t even think about it. When it feels right grip it and rip it

Club tournament pay out percentages
Interesting I have a brecknell (not the mlf badged one just the og I guess) and it’s been accurate on the money for the last 5 years. But I baby it and don’t let it get wet. I just ordered my tournament scales. Should be in soon.

Club tournament pay out percentages
What’s a good pay out formula for a local tournament 100% payout 1 spot paid for every five entries. 30$ buy in. How would the pay percentage adjust for every additional paid place. example 100% for 1 paid place (bad turn out) 70/30 for 2 paid places (10-14 entries) 60/40/20 for 3 paid places (15-19 entries) Etc. does anyone have a good proven method ? I’m gonna start putting on a working man’s and want something that’s fair and that works.

Propeller hub removal.
Yup you’re right. I had to use a hydraulic press and a set of bearing dies. Took me about 15 mins. A little research and the right tools. I understand not everyone has access to the correct tools or it wouldn’t have been possible.

Propeller hub removal.
Not really especially if I can properly” do it myself.

Propeller hub removal.
Has any one ever removed one successfully. I spun my first hub. Can’t get the hub out. Broke a 1 inch chrome socket used a spacer trying to knock it out with a 2 pound sledge hammer. Guess I’ll have to take it to some one with a press. Prop shop said he’d do it for 107 bucks for parts and installation. But I can buy the hub kit for 50 and do it myself if I can.

What's the one rod you would buy again without question if you broke it?
I stick with rods that have good return policies for this reason. Dobyns has excellent customer service. And local.

Puzzled by braid issue on frog rod
Man It’s probably not the reel. Practice practice. I’m not a proponent of high tech braking systems to control the cast. I believe your thumb is the best cast control. I have the exact same set up for frogs btw. Down to the line. Don’t over fill the spool. Stop before the bevel

Dobyns Rods
My favorite rod of all time is the extreme hp 784. Even better than my nrx. Honorable mentions to the DX HP 746 (ultimate lake fork rod) the whole champ CB line up is great. I own 702 733 734 736 714 745 x2 784 x2 764cb 804cb 805cb 806cb 794sb The 867 will handle these just fine. Not too much rod for a 6 inch hud. In fact the 867 will launch a spro frog a country mile. Ask me how I know.

Bass fishing in Mexico on your own.
Would you drive a nice truck pulling a 50 thousand dollar sparkly newer bass boat around to all the best lakes in Sinaloa? Especially with U.S. plates even if you aren’t looking to trouble or any illegal activities wouldn’t you have a target on your back.
