Costa Deals

Man.... Wish I hadn't of seen this..

Good deals. My dad and I have Costa 580s and I've never paid more than $120 on eBay. They're always on sale somewhere.

You fella's may want to check the reviews for this website. Lots of claims of bad service and glasses being knock-offs.

I've bought 4 pairs over the years without issue. They are a major discounter of many brands of high end outdoor gear. I went to the Classic shortly after I bought my first pair & took them to the Costa booth. They verified them. I have bought boots & camping gear from them also at great savings. They also discount fishing gear, but unfortunately it's only high end fly fishing.

Not saying others have not had issues. Heck, I've had issues with BPS & Cabelas. But I have never received knock-offs. They also sell many different lines of sunglasses - Oakley, Smith, Native Eyewear & others. As big and as long as their presence has been on the web, I am sure the Feds or the manufacturers would have shut them down by now if they were not legit.

I bought a ton of assorted outdoor gear from them and never had an issue. However I'm done buying sunglasses online, as I have never lucked out out and found a pair that doesn't pinch my head.

you could go to the costa site and get the sizing to compare to what you have.. hopefully it's accurate or else i might have a problem...

one said it was knockoffs because of it being made in taiwan.. so unless i bought fakes from cabelas im going to assume that costas aren't exclusively made in the usa anymore?

Pretty sure all, if not most, of the frames are made in Taiwan.

I saw that as well, so I did a quick google search and found that Costa frames are made in Taiwan. I believe the lenses are made in Florida.

I have been buying a lot of my backpacking/hiking gear from them for years with no issues.  Steep and Cheap is the discount site for Backcountry.com who is as reputable as REI, EMS, etc.

Ordered the Cat Cay with silver lens today. Order has already shipped, should arrive by Wednesday next week.

Mine came in today. Look great and definitely not fakes.
