I have an old cronarch 50mg and i just recently had a guy try to fix it. he said that shimano no longer makes the gears for that reel. my question is, does any have those gears for sale? does anyone know of some who has the gears and can fix this reel? or should i just toss the thing and forget about it? thanks in advance

    I'm curious as to what was wrong with the reel? Especially to push it to the point of needing all new gears...

     

    I would recommend talking to Mike at @Delaware Valley Tackle to see if it is repairable.

    You might be able to find the parts if you look. 

     

    I also would like to know how far you pushed it to the point of needing all new gears.  I have two of them and will never let them go!  I may have to stock spare parts......
