Spinning Setup

Featured Replies

I have been debating this for a while now. I am thinking of using  the 7' m and 1500 reel for drop shots and swimbaits. I will then get a 7'1" MH Powell Max 3D and Shimano Stradic FK 2500. 15 lb braid and 8lb leader

Sounds like a plan. Is the 1500 a Daiwa?

I love 1000 size Stradics, personally, have

them on all my spinning setups...

Ah, yes. Daiwa makes Cabelas reels. 1500 is a nice size,

close to the 1000 Shimano.

i like the way the 1500 balances on the rod, it allows me to hold it above the reel seat and get maximum casting accuracy and sensitivity

Sounds like a good choice.  The Cabela's tournament zx spinning reel is on sale, too.
