I'm having a hard time deciding between the new Chronarch Mgl and the Metanium mgl. I have a 13 Metanium and absolutely love it, I used it mostly for senkos. I plan on using the new reel for small swimbaits up to 5inches maybe bigger, jigs, and top water. I can get a JDM Met for about the same price as the chronarch, what do you guys think would be the better reel?

If they're the same price, I'd get the Metanium MGL, hands down. It's just a higher grade reel. It's not like the Chronarch is a bad reel, but the Metanium is a step above. Where are you finding a Metanium MGL for such a steal , if you don't mind me asking?

Its the JDM Met, you can find them on eBay, Japan lure shop, or digitaka. I think the only difference is a slightly smaller spool than the US model.

Also no warranty of that bothers you, I've personally never had to use the warranty on a Shimano reel.

JDM Met MGL. Do it.
