L/C Flat CB MR

Featured Replies

Field and Stream had some Lucky Craft lures on sale buy 3 get them for $5 each that included Bevy shad and Flat CB MR and DR.  I was thinking about grabbing more of the flat sided crankbaits for that price.  Anybody have any experience with them good or bad?  Is it worth buying more for $5 each?

I picked a few of them up at the same field and stream. I like the Flat CB MR, only threw it at the local pond to check it's action. Tight wobble should be sweet for pre spawn in the flats. If they had more colors I'd get more of the Flat CB MR. I haven't tried the bevy shad yet, it looks like a finesse jerkbait. Something different for the fish to see at least.

I agree I totally see this being a spring bait out on St Clair.  For $5 how can you go wrong getting a Lucky Craft right?!  I think the packaging costs that much lol

The love the DR version. High quality baits, quality paint, great hooks that don't need replaced from the factory, and they run true out of the package.

I bought myself a dozen more whenever I found that sale price. I'm tempted to get more too.

Dang.  Now you got me thinking I need to get some of the DR's for summer fishing.  Bait monkey go away!!  If you can't find them online look up the phone # for the Field and Stream in Troy, Michigan.  Maybe they would ship you some from the store.  They didn't have a ton of colors though.

I live a 1/4 mile from the original F&S that ever opened... My bait monkey is pleased every time I drive to/from work.

I got a couple of the MRs, like 'em, don't love 'em. They have a medium/tight wobble with a pronounced roll. They don't like to be burned. They run down 4-5 feet on 12 lb mono for me. A decent search bait in open water, but they do hang up more than others.
