Bartlett Reservior AZ

Featured Replies

Taking the kayak this weekend and have only fished Bartlett for flathead catfish. Any advice for Bass and Crappie this time of year?  Thank you in advance.

Bass could still be spawning due to the cool weather this spring. Soft plastic worms and spinnerbait for bass, crappie jigs for crappie.

Hey man, I've had a real hard time fishing down here since I moved back in the fall. I've been out a bunch of times this year and only caught a couple fish. I did lose a nice LMB (at least 4 lbs) on Canyon Lake this week. Hope you did well at Bartlett. I haven't fished there yet.

@JG233 Tough fishing at Bartlett this weekend. Lake is almost at capacity and the water had a milk chocolate tint to it from all the water (Verde River) being released from Horseshoe Reservoir. We launched out of SB Cove and had zero luck along the Yellow Cliffs. We then focused on taking the yaks to secluded coves where the water was warmer and to avoid the annoying debris floating all over the main channel.

Only managed one and she bite very close to shore on a RES 1/4 oz chrome w/ blue back lipless crank. YoYo did the trick. Glad I didn't get skunked in less than ideal conditions. Thought I'd share the report.
