Tough condition advice

Featured Replies

Im fishing a small tournament this saturday but the conditions are gonna be tough. Im thinking of tying on a drop shot off the banks, a ned rig, a Texas rig, and a crank bait? I know the crank bait is a longshot, what do yall think. Im in Lynchburg VA

Maybe I'm missing something but these conditions don't look so rough to me...as far as what my experience is; drop shot is great for soft weedy bottoms with fish hanging out low in the water column dark colors for dark water, natural colors for clearer water. Texas weighted rig for hard bottoms. For fish in the middle of the water column I love the lipless crank baits and the crawdad pattern is perfect for the spring time of the year. Might still be a little cool for top water but in the early mornings or dusk might throw a buzz bait and get some reaction strikes. Just my $0.02

I should have clarified, the temperature is back on a rise after a drop from 70s to 40s

There might not be as many limits weighed as there would if weather had been stable, but someone will find them. I would go wherever I thought the fish would be if the weather had been stable, back off a little, and slow down.
