I fished one pond today and lit them up. caught 25 dunks. changed ponds to find bigger fish, but fewer beds. water was muddier, but i could see the big bass. I was using a brown hair jig. caught 2 smaller bass. How long will the big females be on the beds? What should i do to catch them?

They won't be there very long, best thing is use a white lizard, so you can see the bait get bite easyer  and put it on the bottom and slowly drag it into the bed right under the fish and keep it there till it gets mad enough to grab it, soon as she grabs it set the hook, because she won't hold it for long she isnt trying to eat it,  she is just getting it off the bed.
