Anyone have a 2500 or 3000 and a scale that can get an actual weight of it? I am curious if the weight listed on the website is accurate. I need a slightly heavier reel to better balance out a rod but I need to know how much more weight I need to add.

i don't have a scale but I do own a Stradic FK 3000 and its a pretty light reel for its size. you may even need to step up to a 4000 size reel to balance out on a long rod??

Here is my 2500 loaded with 15 lb Suffix 832 and a 4000 loaded with 20 lb Suffix 832.

Just weighed my Stradic FK 3000 spooled with 6lb Yo Zuri hybrid line: 8.45oz... seems to me like Shimano's listed weight of 8.3oz with no line is accurate.
