Robo Worm FAT 4.5" For Shakyhead ?

Anyone use / try a Robo Worm FAT 4.5" on a shaky head ? Curious how they would compare to the FAT 6" when the bite is tough OR is the 6" a better choice all around ... Your thoughts / experiences ?

I fished the 6" FAT without any issues and also if I found myself needing to shorten up the worm I'd bite however much I needed off and still performed great like all roboworms, if you're undecided just grab a couple packs of the 4.5" in whatever color you'd like to try and if you have some 6" FAT's try taking a small bite off til you find the right size

4.5 is a better drop or split worm or 1/8 oz dart head jig, 6" better choice for shaky head jigs due to the longer hook shanks most shaky heads have. Give it a try, the bass will let you know if they like it.

Well Tom - if anybody in California was using a 4.5" FAT Roboworm you would have known about it by now ! I'll use the 6" and experiment if I need to go any shorter .

I don't fish that worm but I do fish 4.5" and 5" worms on shaky heads. In fact the only largemouth I ever caught in water that was under 40 degrees was on a 4.5" worm fishing on a 1/16oz shaky head with a 3/0 hook. I make my own shaky heads so I can smaller hooks, in cold water I use a 3/0 with that size worm because I want the action slowed a little but in warmer water I'd go with a 2/0 hook so more of the tail can move freely. On a tough bite a 4.5" worm on a shaky head can be incredible, the fish aren't conditioned to seeing a small worm like that fished along the bottom.
