Need 2 - Piece Bait Cast Rod ?

Looking for a 7' MH Fast 2 piece bait cast rod( under $100) I can use for travel . Two piece spinning rods are very easy to find - not so for 2 piece bait cast rods ! Cabela's has a Tourney series and a Pro Guide series in 2 piece bait cast option but I know nothing about their quality . Thanks in advance for your experiences & suggestions ...

I haven't found a lot of 2 piece casting rods and have heard they aren't as common here in the States compared to international.  I have a Daiwa Ardito 3-piece travel rod that I haven't had much of a chance to use but seems like a solid rod.

Other rods I've found are the Abu Garcia Veritas 2.0 and the St. Croix Premier.

10 years ago I purchased a 2-piece baitcaster from Cabelas in a MH fast tip to take to Florida on a visit.  It was, at that time, their Tourney Trail line.  I still have the rod and use it and have compared it frequently to the current light weight rods and it blows my mind at how light that rod is and that was 10 years ago.  My grandson is an avid bass angler and when he used it he thought it was a med light rod.   The rod was on sale then for $80.  I have no idea what the offer now.

haven't even used her yet, but i got a 3 piece daiwa ardito travel rod from TW for $80 shipped.  They're actually more $ there, but they'll price match and if you go on walmart or amazon's website you can find them for $80.  it's built a lot like my original tatula and if it performs half as well i'll be stoked!

I've been eyeing a Shimano zodias 2 piece on ebay to keep in my truck for when I stumble on some water. I think I saw them for $150 or so.

I would suggest the Fenwick Eagle but I think the best you can get for 2 piece casting rods would be a 6'6" Medium Fast action.

At $60 its the perfect balance of cost and quality.

It may be over budget, but I use Fenwick methods for my travel rod.  Four rods in one travel tube.  Overall, I've been happy with this rod and like having the options of power and action.

Fenwick Eagles come in a 2 piece casting. Decent lower budget rod.
