Reel seat creaking St. Croix rod

Featured Replies

I was just curious if anyone else noticed this with st. Croix rods or if I'm just overlooking it .. I have a legend extreme casting rod that at the reel seat it seems to creek a little when I hook into the fish like where the plastic is on the reel seat I can't get the real to move by handle it does not move at all I don't think .. just was woundering if it's a issue possibly maybe it's just the plastic they use on the reel seat and it creeks a little when pressure is put on it I don't know

Hold the handle and twist on the seat. If it gives on the blank have st croix swap it. If the seat is tight on the blank and reel it held securely you're good.
