Went to my fav spot -- the creek mouth which empties into a large, clear lake.  Started with the trusty thumper and hoisted 3 around 3 lbs.  Then came this one close to 4.  They were all cruisin open water, not stationed at their usual ambush points.  I couldn't buy a hit on topwater.

 

I went to a different area, a new place I hadn't hit before from land.  I managed to hoist a few on the thumper.  After a few surface detonations, it was time for the spook.  So, I got my topwater rig, worked the SS several times......kaboom!  She was pushing 5.

It ended up that way!  I was loosing faith with the spook
