oil to gas

Featured Replies

i was told you should put your oil in first then pump the gas. the thig is i never know how many gal. its gonna take so i dont know how much oil to add. can you pump the gas first and see how many gal. you have and then add the oil or is there another way of doing it?  :-?

Before I got an oil injected motor I would estimate the amount of oil needed and out in slightly less. Then as I got near to full I'd check to see how much gas I had put in and make a slight increase in the oil amount. Putting the oil in first allows the gasoline to stir up the oil and in theory mix it well.

This is applicable if you are filling at the lake.  If you are trailing to the lake, I wouldn't worry too much - cause it should mix itself well by the time you get to the ramp......especially if my wife is driving ;D

You said a MOUTHFULL Timmy.   ;D

When I need the gas mixed - she is good at that!  Just kidding.....although she does drive sometimes when I have the whole family going to the cabin or somthing.  She ain't 1/2 bad!  But she can only go forward! ;D
