Hidden real seat with Winn grips

Featured Replies

I am toying with the idea of replacing the cork and reel seat on my mojo bass spinning rod and replacing it with a custom set up.

Is it possible to get a reel seat similar to the fenwick elite tech bass spinning rods but with Winn grips instead of cork?

I would like to not feel the plastic or metal seat, threads, or anything else. Just the grip material.

Replace the whole grip/seat/butt knob with a cork Tennessee grip.  Use electrical tape applied with considerable tension to mount the reel, then go over the complete grip, including the area with the elect tape, with Winn Wrap.

How about the Fuji VSS reel seat with it's Winn split grip. Fuji HPS hood with Winn foregrip sleeve over it.

Thank you for your suggestion, that is a very good idea. Appreciate you sharing your knowledge, this is very new to me.
