Helix 5 having hard time

Featured Replies

So I have a helix 5 I just put in and every time I make a run across the lake I'll obviously slow down to sonar a spot and it has a hard time getting a reading of the bottom. It just says it 1.1ft and after waiting for like a minute or two it finally gets a reading

anyone know what my problem is?

my bow mount helix 7 does that if I don't shut it off when storing the trolling motor. (I leave it turned on all the time.)

when the trolling motor is stored it reads 1 ft. and when redeploying the motor it takes a little while to start reading.

your transducer is probably coming out of the water when on plane.

A Cabelas rep.told me it was probably air bubbles on the transducer.

That make a lot of sense, thank you very much
