Recently purchased my first Micro Magic rod because it was on sale! Its the 7'6" extra heavy model. Usually fish St.Croixs, but always willin to test others. If anyone has this particular model, what are some things you use it for? I was going to use it strictly for pitching heavy weights, etc. Just curious what others use it for!

whats the lure weight on an extra heavy? Most heavy rods have a 2oz rating and cant imagine using anything heavier than 1.5oz-2oz for pitching or punching.

Duckett doesnt list lure or line ratings for some reason. At least not on this Micro Magic. Perhaps on others.

Ive got a mag heavy rod that I use for flip/pitch/punch, football jigs and carolina rigs. If you can deal with the extra length, you could throw a frog too.
