What kind of bottom composition is this?

Featured Replies

So I went out with my Deeper Pro+ to learn more about a local group of small walkable lakes. They are bank fishing only and I've been skunked multiple times yet people swear there are decent bass there.

So I fished a cove and got nothing. Before moving spots I threw out my Deeper to learn more about the area I was fishing (I didn't want to spook any potential fish so I didn't cast it out there first)

Is this supposed to be a hard or soft bottom composition? I tossed out a Carolina rig to feel out the bottom and it didn't feel rocky. It didn't feel like anything really. Is this silt or clay or something else?

Looks like sand or hard clay co some combination of the 2. Pretty sure its not mud
