Are the Ever start MAXX marines batterys good trolling motor batterys? Im asking because 65 dollars is not a whole lot for a trolling motor batterys.

I think they usually give you pretty good service for a couple of years.  I've never seen an Ah capacity or Reserve Minutes on them but unless your doing some serious running times and need every minute you can get, probably do ok.  I run them in a couple of my boats I don't use a much and have usually gotten two - three years out of them with a maintainer connected and keeping the water levels up.   I don't run them in my Javelin that I use heavily.

They are a fine battery.

And I've never seen a battery that did not have the reserve capacity listed on it somewhere.  My G29 MAXX has a reserve capacity of 205, CCA (not that it really matters) of 875.

I don't know who makes the batteries now, but Exide used to make the WM brand.

I bought the battery today and tested it out a little and I went to charge it and I found out that my charger is messed up. My charger keeps telling my that my battery is already charged 100% no matter what battery I hook it up to even a battery that has been dead for 5yrs. I do have another charger but I does not have the option for a marine battery charge. So I was wanting to know it would be bad for the battery to use this charger?

If it reads 100 percent charge all the time, guaranteed you'll overcharge the battery

ditch the charger.

Ya im not going to use the bad charger. I was just wondering about the other charger that didnt have the marine setting. Ill be getting a new charger soon so though.

I just replaced a trolling motor battery.  Bought another Everstart Maxx 29.  Purchased the one that went out in Jan 2003.  Had one go out last summer. Perhaps I should have bought both last year, but I didn't.  Got three years + out of one, four out of this one.  These are in my Ranger, leave them plugged up all the time, monitor the water level every month.  I have no complaints with this product.

Before I got my SpeedCharge, I charged with a normal charger.  I would set it to 10 amps and charge for 4-5 hours, then check with a multimeter.

I am planning on buying a marine maxx at walmart and the only reason why is that no matter where you are at you can always find a walmart if something happens to your batteries.
