is there a high quality carpet that wont wear down so easily? where can i get it?

i only got 2 years out of my stock ones.  how long do they last for fiberglass boats?

    do you get them wet before you load the boat back on? I always get the whole runner wet and then pull back up some, boat seems to go on so much easier.
