Hello Everyone. I just recently broke the fact to my sonar unit and am looking at purchasing another unit. I have been looking very hard at the Lowrance X96 unit. I like this unit because of the price and the reviews I have read have been good. I am wondering if any of you have experience with this unit and what are your thoughts on it. I am not looking to spend a fortune on electronics so that is why this unit fits into what I am looking for. Bass Pro and Cabelas have it selling for $199. What does everyone think?

The X96 is a decent sonar, but for the same money get the Humminbird 565.  It offers higher resolution, higher sonar power and has dual frequency transducer.  It has the same 20 degree coverage as the Lowrance and has an extra 60 degree coverage for finding fish and structure.  You just get a better deal for the same price.
