Trailer light problem
Ok now I feel like a real turd knocker. I looked at the fuses the other morning and they appeared be good. I guess through the frustration of me not getting to the lake at "prime time" I overlooked a fuse. I found the trailer tow backup/parking fuse blown. Hooked the trailer up and let there be light. Thank you very much for everyones help. Next time I shoudl double check and post afterwards.

Trailer light problem
Yeah I have a 2002 ford and cannot find a fuse that has anything to do with the trailer running lights. Thanks for the input.

Trailer light problem
Thanks for the replies. I am attempting to get a voltage tester to check conductivity on all wires. Is there a particlar pin on the 4 pin connector that controls only running lights?

Trailer light problem
Just curious if anyone in here has ever experienced this or knows how to fix it. My running lights on my trailer stopped working out of the blue. The stop and turn still work ok but just the running lights when my truck lights are on is not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Sufix.
What # test are you using on your soft plastic rods? I had mine spooled with 17 and had the problems I did and am wondering if the spool I got was just a bad spool because I really liked it's castability and its low memory.

Tell Tale on 1995 25HP Merc
My mercury has to warm up before it pee's continuously. I thought something with mine was messed up also so I took it in and they told me that it just has to warm up and the thermostat will open. Unsure of indicating the pressure as mine has a pressure guage but if it is peeing you should be good.

I had 6 of my tournament reels spooled with siege and it broke in the middle of the spool for no reason on 3 of them. I loved it until that point but just watchout for that. It cost me two much needed fish.

Cleaning scum off of boat!
The product that was referred to you is acetone. I use a clay bar on mine after washing with dish detergent to remove wax and it seems to work. I am not a professional detailer but that is what has worked for me. You can get one at any auto parts store where they sell car wash supplies. Just remember after you do the clay bar you have removed all of the contaminants but you have also removed all of your protectant. i.e wax so rewax when you are finished.

Problem Centering Boat on Trailer
You have the trailer too deep. I just got rid of a PT 170 and had the same problem the first couple of times. I judged my trailer depth by looking at the step in front of the trailer wheels. I only needed about an inch over the step and it would go on strait every time. It is a little confusing seeing how little of the bunk is actually in the water because it only leaved about 2 ft of bunk in the water. I dont have to do it with the new boat but that was the only way I could get my tracker to load strait.

Long Haul with Tracker boat
Thanks everyone. It is a 2006 model so the trailer is only 1 year old. I am going to repack before I go and cheack every couple of hours as suggested. Wish me luck because being broke down halfway between Georgia and Virginia is going to be bad news!!!

Long Haul with Tracker boat
Ok everyone I am going to be doing a long haul, approximately 14 hours, with my boat. I have never towed over an hour and a half so I am wondering if there are any certain things I should prepare differently prior to this trip. I have a Pro Team 170 with the original Tracker trailer that has the EZ lube hubs. I guess the only thing I am worried about is burning up the hubs because I have no intentions on stopping except for gas. Any suggestions on speed, lube schedule on the road or anything related would be greatly appreciated.

Lowrance X96
Hello Everyone. I just recently broke the fact to my sonar unit and am looking at purchasing another unit. I have been looking very hard at the Lowrance X96 unit. I like this unit because of the price and the reviews I have read have been good. I am wondering if any of you have experience with this unit and what are your thoughts on it. I am not looking to spend a fortune on electronics so that is why this unit fits into what I am looking for. Bass Pro and Cabelas have it selling for $199. What does everyone think?

Good , inexpensive bigginer boat?
Yes I agree completely. You can buy a very nice beginner boat for under 5k if you just look around. I too have a Bass Tracker and I like it. The customer service that Tracker offers sucks but they are great boats for the price and you can get a nice one for sure for under 5k. Good luck man. Oh and by the way my bud had one of those inflatables that you are talking about and he hates it. It has already had like 3 holes in it and it has no stability while trying to move around. I would recommend against that if you can but something is always better than nothing if that is what you have to get.

what octane gas do you run in your outboard?
I run 87 because where I live the gas is so expensive but I have ran 93 before and it felt like I had a lot better performance. I marked speed with both octanes' on the same gps and I got 4 mph faster with the same load and conditions using the 93. I have never heard that about the 93 gumming the motor either. I am not sure how it would when it is a higher quality fuel.

Bass Tracker Pro Team 170 storage space
Yes Zel I have not seen those before but they would be perfect for wha I am looking to do. My only setback is that I am scared to cut out the floor not knowing what is under it i.e. wiring, pumps, lines, etc. I guess what I am really looking for is someone that is knowledgeable with the two and whether or not they are configured the same underneath the floor in the back. I measured them and they are very similar in dimensions so I do not see where they could be different, but hey who knows. Thank you very much for the link Zel. I am definitely going to be checking in to those as soon as I find out that I will be good to cut it out.

Bass Tracker Pro Team 170 storage space
Hello Everyone. I have a 2006 Pro Team 170 and am a little disappointed that I did not get a different boat because of the lack of storage space. I was fishing with my buddy this past weekend and he had a 175 that had two extra compartments in the back next to the livewell. I am wondering if anyone in here has any experience with adding additional storage t these boats. I have searched the internet for layout diagrams and am unable to find any to see where I would be able to cut some additional space into. Any help with modification to these types of boats or adding storage space will be greatly appreciated.

Jig Fishing
Hey thanks for the help guys. I was allowing my bait to fall on a slack line and I think this is where I may have been going wrong. I am going to go out asap and keep that constant contact with the bait and see if I can get something going with it.

Jig Fishing
Hello All. I have just recently got an obsession for pitching and flipping a jig. I have been bass fishing for many years but have never really jig fished that much. I am having trouble detecting the bite because I feel so much on the bottom with the jig. I am mainly throwing a 3/4 ounce with a pork trailer on stumps and laydowns. I have not yet threw in the hydrilla but with the laydowns I am feeling like I could have a potential strike every time it hits a branch. Is there somethings specific to feel for with the jig bite or will they just run with it. I am just worried I am losing many fish by taking it away from them too early thinking it is not a strike. Thanks for any input guys.
