Hello I'm a new fisherman and today while bank fishing I happen to come across this lure. My first thought was jerkbait or some type of suspending crankbait since the profile is thin from the top. It's action is almost a suspend/very very slow float back to the surface. Manufacturer on the bill says Rapala. Good new is it landed a few fish for me when nothing else would!

If it is a jerkbait do they all have that type of excessive slow float back to the top? Seemed like everything that took it came when the erratic motion and float/suspend came.

You have discovered to power of the suspending/slow rise jerkbait. Gets even better as the water gets cooler.
