Shore Locations help in Eastern MA

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

My name is Anthony and I just joined this community. This site has helped me a great deal with my angling skills. I am now hoping you guys can help me once again. I live near Boston Ma and I am having a pretty difficult time finding good shore fishing North of Boston. It seems like everything is occupied by condos and no trespassing signs. I constantly have to go to western ma to fish in a freshwater lake that has plenty of shore access.

Can you guys recommend any freshwater water bodies with good to great access and that is in the north or south shore of Boston.

Thanks !!

Google maps is your best friend in this situation. I lived in Alston a few years ago and by using Google Earth I found great shore fishing at the following places: Brookline Reservoir for Largemouth, Crystal Lake in Newton for Largemouth and trout, The Southern most point of spot pond in Medford for smallies, Quater Mile Pond in Medford for largemouth, Wrights pond in Medford for Largemouth, Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield for Largemouth, Horn Pond in Woburn for Largemouth, Field Pond in Andover in Harold Park State Forest for Largemouth. The list keeps going, but that should give you plenty of options. Good luck!
