It's just a for-fun poll. I don't think its a high-friction issue, but its interesting to see the difference.

    Have used both without problems. Right now it is Minn Kota, I like the new low profile petels wish mine had one  :'(

    Ive had both. Right now I have a Minn Kota Maxxum 80. I really like it but I have had to have the foot pedal mother board replaced 2 months into it. The repair shop assured me I have one of the best motors on the market. Hope so, I hate problems on the water.  

    If you are removing the TM to cover the Motor Guide gator mount is much more user friendly than the Minn Kota system

    I love the MK TMs for one important reason, the flex in the shaft.  Moving along in a stained lake, and run into some underwater brush, the shaft will flex, not bend like the MGs....
