Portable fish finder

Featured Replies

Hello y’all, I have a question for you. So I mostly bank fish and occasionally take my kayak out. So I’ve been researching into a portable fish finder. I’ve looked at the ibobber as well as the deeper. Deeper seems like the better choice however it’s more expensive. I will admit I can be cheap but I know it’s probably better to purchase the better product for a little more money than just settling. So I’m asking has anyone tried one of these and are they worth it?

I have never fished for bass my fishing days were way back in UK, beach casting and sea fishing, not as sophisticated as you fresh water guys. hehehe

I have the HawkEye FT1PX FishTrax works well for me.

I bought Vexilar’s Sonarphone before I got hooked on kayak fishing.  It worked well marking depth and surface temperature from shore. I’s not HDI, but gets the job done nicely.  It’s well built too. I bounced mine of hard stuff a couple times
