Lake Istokpoga

Featured Replies

I haven't been bass fishing in 3 months due to work. How's fishing been on Poga and surrounding area lakes? Not looking for your honey hole, just a general idea of post Irma fishing.

Speaking only for myself, not so great on poga numbers wise. But size has been pretty good. We were out yesterday and caught a 5 and a 7.5 but that was it all day. The pressure this lake gets in unreal! And the amount of D-bags out there as well. Lake placid has produced a good mix of numbers and size. Lake clay we've loaded the boat but all dinks. Still debating where to go this weekend.

Try Grassy or Crooked.

I hear both are fishing really good and will only get better.

Grassy doesn't have a public ramp. I live about 2 min from it. Crooked is a little far for me.

Ok

Got out Saturday half a day til the rain moved in. Got a few on big EZs through lily pads and a few flipping thick reeds. These cold fronts are either going to set the fishing off or shut it down.
