End cap on dobyns fury

Featured Replies

While cleaning up my stuff before putting it away for the winter I noticed the end cap of my fury 735 fell off.  No big deal, but will be looking to stick a new one on.  Any advice on where to order one or a size?

For something like that, I’d just contact Dobyns directly. They’d probably give it to you free of charge because something like that shouldn’t fall off.

If you still have the old one just order a small kit of procote epoxy and glue it back on.  I always have some of this around to fix things on rods.  The last repair was putting a reel seat back together on a fenwick.  Its cheap and you will spend more time and effort on most rod repairs than just fixing it yourself.

This happened to one of my Tatula rods. They sent me a new one with a tiny vile of some sort of glue. Give Gary a call, he'll take care of you.

Thanks for the suggestion, I shot them an email last night while browsing the web trying to avoid the bait monkey.

I have no idea where the old cap is, I didn't even notice it missing until I started cleaning stuff up.

I had the same experience most have when dealing with dobyns; they're awesome to chat with.  They're sending a new end cap insert in the mail
