Helix 9 di help

Featured Replies

My trolling motor transducer wire  smashed and cut in rough water , and I lost pic on my screen. Assumed I needed to replace the transducer . I purchased a xtm 9 di 25 t transducer. After install I get a decent sonar pic but di pic barely shows a bottom contour even after sensativety is turn all the way up. ?  I've gone thru the set up menu several times . Do I have a set up issue or issue with the head unit. Help please

My unit is a helix 9 chirp di GPS g2n

1. Did you try resetting the unit to the factory defaults? I do that when my Helix gets out of wack just to get everything back to standard, then I tweek from there.

2. Have you confirmed that the "xtm 9 di 25 t" is a compatible transducer? This suggests the "XNT 9 DI T".

Humminbird says it is compatible.  The XNT 9 DI T is the transducer supplied with the unit. It's a transom mount and it's the one I was using. I had issues with interference , so that's why I went to the xtm 9 di 25 t which is a trolling motor transducer. I did reset to factory defaults as part of the install

I also saw this but if Humminbird Support says the XTM 9 DI 25 T is compatible it must be something else going on.
