Thanks. I have no problem finding fish during daylight hours. But after dark I struggle. My wife and I fish a small club out of shadows and we fished a derby last weekend. We found a stretch of bank that held some fish on it but blew thru it and sought out other areas similar to it with no luck. I guess my question is. Were fish moving up in that shallow area to feed or was it resident fish that were feeding there ?

I need some help on night fishing. Should I just sit on main lake points and wait on fish or should I fish lighted bank areas?

I tried to upload a pic but the file is too big. So I’ll just give you my report. Fished from daylight to dark. From mill creek to Pendleton bridge. Overall the fishing was a struggle 5 fish with the biggest being a 3. While getting ready to put the boat on the trailer we noticed several good fish under a light. My son dropped a Texas rig on them and bam. 11.67 I’m sure most of you have seen or will see it . We weighed it at Toledo town

Take the time to use your electronics by following contour lines and located as many brush piles as you can. Then proceed to fish them until you find which piles are the productive ones. Then you can lean on them when the bite gets tough

I’ve got a question that I’m sure someone can answer here. Almost every fish I caught had bright red lips. Lipstick bright. I’m sure I’ve seen it before , but it was really obvious. It’s a cold water thing but what’s the purpose ?

Folks I’m here to tell you , I absolutely love this new ultrex . I found fish on main lake points on brush piles and without the spot lock there is no way I would have caught those fish. It allowed me to go to the back of the boat and pick apart those piles. Caught several fish over 3 lbs in 20 ft of water that fell into 30 ft . Sunday morning followed the same pattern of brush piles but near channel swings. I didn’t set the world on fire either day but I put together a couple nice 5 fish stringers All my fish came off of c rigs and football jigs

Looks like I’ll be back on the lake this coming weekend. I sent my humminbird back where they replaced a circuit board. Really impressed with the service. Shipped it Monday. And fed ex delivered the repaired unit back on sat. Also just installed an minn Kota ultrex on my tin Ranger boat. Can’t wait to try out the spot lock feature. I’ll let y’all know how I like it soon

I've been on the phone with humminbird customer service 3 times. And not once did they give me the information you just did. I have suspected something like that could be the problem but their answer was that this transducer was compatable with all di units. But does that apply with di with chirp. I just don't know enough about birds to determine that. What's sad is if that's the problem I'll have to eat this transducer. Thanks

I've been in contact with Humminbird service department and they want me to update my software and if it doesn't work to ship it and the transducer to them . Everybody I know runs lowrance units , I would love to have someone familiar with birds look at it before I ship my unit back to Alabama . I may be up at Toledo Monday. If not I'll catch you when I can Not sure why that first part showed up again
