Pimping my ride...

Wiring in my boat is a mess.  Organized it a little yesterday after pulling a new wire for a 12V receptacle.  Still a mess, but at least it is a little more organized.

Those little blocks are great.

Also installed a RAM mount at the console for my GPS.

The boat may be ugly as sin, but I'm slowly but surely turning it into a boat worthy of a DinkMaster.

Burley, VERY nice work.  I have been told that I am anal, whatever that means, but nothing torques me out of shape more than sloppy electrical connections.  As you noted above, I've just bought a Tracker.  While it has many worthwhile features, a 17-year-old boat has suffered a number of indignities over time.  One of them is the electrics.  Before I ever put my new pride-and-joy into the water I plan on getting the wiring into as good a shape as you have.  BTW, I have the same GPS unit as you, but mine is B&W.

I hate sloppy wiring and I hate crimp-on connectors.  I spent about 3 hours soldering those wires and putting heat shrink on the connections.  Might have been quicker had I not kept forgetting minor things and having to re-do a lot of work.

I just wish I would have taken a 'before' photo of the wiring.  It was truly a mess.  I still need to trace wires and put on ID tags.

Wire management is my specialty from doing car audio for years, let me know if you need some suggestions.

15 years in the Aerospace Industry taught me how to properly install wiring, every connection is environmentally sealed, and every thing is wrapped into a wire bundle.

Aint nothing worse when night fishing than trying to diagnose a wiring problem
