Pond Fishing Kissimmee

Featured Replies

Hi Community,

I will be visiting Kissimmee for a week and was thinking about renting a house with a pond/lake in front, Is there a good chance these ponds would have bass?

I will be travelling from Canada so catching LM would be very rewarding.

More than likely yes. There is no shortage of ponds in the Kissimmee area and some hold DD fish.

While you are here and if you are okay in a Kayak, then look into renting a Kayak at the Shingle Creek Park in West Vine street. That area of Shingle Creek sees very very little fishing pressure and I know there are DD bass there. You are protected from the wind and it’s a very pretty area. I grew up near the Pleasant Hill area of that Creek and big fish were, well big!

You can cast into almost any pond in this area and have a good chance that something bites. The problem is finding the big uns.
