Hi for my B day i am soon buying a Irod Air 7 Heavy for Jig and worms. But i ran into a problem. I cannot decide what to choose, A shimano Cronarch MGL or an Revo ALX. I am planning to use 14-15 pound fluro or 30 pound braid. 

Which one should i pick?

I have never used the ALX but i have used the MGL and for the money, its one awesome reel!

I've got four of the Chronarch MGL's and I absolutely love them. 

 

I've heard lots of guys complaining that the ALX is too small to be practical.

So that kinda explains why the ALX is only 5.5 ounces for an aluminum framed reel.
