Various Soft plastics weight chart

Featured Replies

I recall seeing a post where someone had posted a chart of various soft plastics weights ie.  trick worm, senko, pit boss, etc and each baits corresponding weight.

However I can't seem to find that post. Does anyone have a list or chart with similar information?

It's winter and I have far too much time of my hands :)

I don't have a chart, but did invest $20 for a great once/gram digital scale.  I then write the weight of the bait on the package with a Sharpie and put a piece of scotch tape over it to protect the figure.  You can convert the gram weight to ounces by simply multiplying the amount by .0353. Love that digital scale.  Senkos are a pretty steady 3/8 oz.  Amazing how you will find that many hard baits of all kinds do not weigh what the package says.  Some significantly different.

I remember that chart and used it quite a bit. If it comes back I'm screenshotting it

If anyone is interested, I found these two threads after searching for way too long :) a thank you goes out to @J Francho and @QUAKEnSHAKE

Just wanted to get a rough idea of bait weights and bullet weights / jig weights for various presentations. More a mental organization thing.

Thanks man. Mods can y'all perhaps sticky one of these. Kind of a cool thing

Just wanted to tell everyone how glad I am that this topic popped up again. It’s totally changed the way I rig my plastics. My go to soft plastic is a baby brush hog, which on average weighs about 7 grams or 1/4oz. I’m also a big fan of the Havoc Pit Boss, which on average weighs about 10.5 grams or 3/8oz. I know that density, salt content, and many other factors come into play as well, but if I was fishing a Zoom BBH with 1/4oz bullet weight, putting a Pit Boss on the same setup will fish differently. Might not be a huge difference, but think about how much of a difference there is between a 1/2oz jig and a 5/8oz jig. It’s definitely made a difference in my fishing ??
