the cool thing is most of them come with a trolling motor mount.

to me having a trolling motor opens a whole new world of fishing.

rowings ok but i'd rather spend the time fishing then getting a workout.

basspro has a trolling motor for like $99.00 . Add a marine deepcycle battery and you got a nice lean mean stealthy fishing machine.  ;)

They are worth the money no matter what brand you decide to buy.  I have two, one for myself and one for the wife.  We have a blast fishing on float trips with these things.  Surprisingly,  they do good even in rapids up to class 3.  We bought the Creek Company style from Cabela's but if I had it to do all over I would spend the extra money and get one that sets a little higher out of the water like the Outcast brand.  Some days I just don't want my butt to get wet.   ;D

i am stuck between the Creek Company Odc Xl sport and the Trout unlimited madison poontoons. they are the same price the trout unlimited looks more comfortable but it has a couple of bad reviews on the valves. has anybody used either of these?

thanks

Haven't used the T.U. model but did see a guy over the weekend on the river with a broken frame on his Madison. If you decide to go with the Creek Company they have their own website with tons of add-ons for the boats.
