  1. How about cornstarch and water?
  2. A good place to start is to check ur spark plugs. PLugs are cheap it doesn't hurt to change them. Another thing is if you were running gas from last season it may have lost octane if u didnt use any stabilezer in it. I think a fresh tank of gas and new plugs might jsut do the trick. At least these are 2 cheaper things to check.
  3. I also have this back pack and love it. It is very versetial i have 3 falcon fto boxes in the big main zipper. then more soft plastics in the other zipper compartment. The only problem i have with the bag is the shoulder straps are a little to skinny, when the bag is weighed down with equipment they dig into my shoulders a little.
  4. I will be going down to Florida for my aunts wedding in September and i was looking into possibly going on a guided fishing trip. I will be in the Tampa Bay area and would like to know which lakes i should look into for largemouth fishing. And if u know of a good guide at a resonable price that can put us on some of them big southern bass. We are also going out snook fishing; the wedding is on Santa Anna island. Thanks
  5. I believe Gm is coming out with a 5.3 diesel in 09. they r gunna put it in the 1500's. THat will give u better fuel economy than gas and more horse power.
  6. I have a 1965 Johnson 40 horse that i drained the lower unit oil out of and now i want to know what i should use for lower unit oil. Is there a commercial oil for the motor? Or should i just use a 80 90 gear lube?
  7. i am stuck between the Creek Company Odc Xl sport and the Trout unlimited madison poontoons. they are the same price the trout unlimited looks more comfortable but it has a couple of bad reviews on the valves. has anybody used either of these? thanks

  10. This is exactly how i like to fish the original floater. The floaters are very versitile, the smallest one the make on ultra lite gear is a fun way to catch Rock bass. And then the medium sized ones are great for smallmouth, and the huge ones are great for Northern Pike.
  11. I live about 30 mins from Port clinton but have never tried fishing for smallies there. Only Perch and Walleye i dont know where to start fishing or what to use.BTW that smallie is beautiful

What kind of a bird is that? it looks like a sparrow? or a quail
  14. I love these lures for rivers. The river i fish is about 1-2 feet deep with a rock bottom. The way i like to fish them is cast them out and reel them in fast enough that im bouncing off of the rocks, i like the floating ones for this because if you get stuck under a rock just let the line go slack and the lure will usually get free. Small mouth hammer this bait when fished like this, it is my Go-To on shallow rivers.

  23. For a 3.5" tube i use a 2/0 or 3/0 Ewg hook. I dont usually texas rig tubes that are any smaller, for smaller i use an insert jighead.
  24. I was serious looking at one of these plastic boats, but the problem is there is a couple small rivers i like to fish, and if the wind picks up a little those things would like just scary, they seem only good for small ponds, personally i would go with a jon boat. Just my 2cents.
