  1. Mmm...that's a tough one. I use a 4/0 EWG hook for 5in wave worms and that helps for me, but like you said he could have had only part of it in his mouth. I switched to wacky rigging them about 2 months ago and that has helped that one bite a trip that I would miss with them t-rigged. I hardly ever miss a bite on wacky rig.
  2. We got a used aluminum boat with an outboard motor. It needed a little fixing up to say the least. Well there are three main power cords. One is positive, one is negative, and the other one isn't attatched to anything? Is it supposed to grounded or does it go to something? Thanks
  3. I too went straight to left handed baitcasters after left handed spinning gear. It has been perfect. I have never considered switching. As far as reels go I have a Citica and a Scorpion. Both are great reels. The Citica is the new version of the old Curado B, I think. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Also the Revo's are some sweet little reels. If you want to spend more money you can't go wrong with Daiwa or Shimano north of $200. If you want a good deal with a Shimano Citica pm me and I might be able to help you out. Don't give up on pitching. It is a great thing to practice inside. Baitcasters are fun. ;D Oh and about the Johnny Morris reels. They are not bad reels, but you can get more of a reel for the money.
  4. They are great baits. Very economical too. Pretty much any color will work. I tend to stick with the more natural ones though.
  5. I have been experimenting with new jig trailors lately and I am looking for some new ideas. Had some success with Baby Brush Hogs and twin tail grubs. Looking to pick up some Joe's soon. Tried Strike King 3x craw trailors. Any other interesting ideas?
  6. Looking into trying some of these this week. I was going to fish them on a jig head. My question is do you swim it more, or fish it more like a regular jig?
  7. It has happened to me multiple times as well. Always amused me because I could never figure out what natural food it looked like.
  8. Often if you can see the fish than the fish can see you. Try longer casts and like someone mentioned don't change your retrieve even if you see them coming.
  9. I've bought from Delo's before. Great customer service and incredible prices on incredible products. The shipping is a little slower than BPS, but that's too be expected from a small business.
  10. I was considering getting my Dad his first baitcaster for his birthday. Would you reccomend the Citica or the Daiwa Advantage. Thanks
  11. Really impressive article. I learned alot. Thanks guys.
  12. I'm having the same problem man. Went through two bags on 15 bass. The Toads were all they wanted and I was out. I just took all my old ones(they had ripped at the nose) and melted them back together with a lighter. It bought me one more fish per frog. Rigged with a 4/0 gammy EWG. If I was you I would not change to the Mann's Toad. The Horny Toad has better action and it has the double threat of a subsurface bait. I'm thinking about picking up some Zoom Horny Toad Hooks. They are supposed to help alot.
  13. Any opinions on these babies? I've only seen hardbaits by them. I picked up a couple at Dick's because they were on sale. Any info would be great. Thanks
  14. Apparently I am no fun to fish with. Something about not talking or being to serious. Anyways I almost always fish alone. My friends just aren't quite as into as I am, yet anyway. As for sanity, I'm more than likely not sane when I'm fishing so...
  15. I also bought Yozuri Hybrid Ultra-Soft by reccommendation of Roadwarrior and it has been a great line. It has incredible breaking strenght and great limpness; it stays on the real nice and casts super smooth. I have 6lb on my spinning outfits and 12 lb on my baitcasters. Thanks Roadwarrior
