$200  :o

You theft   ;)

I'd have the engine scoped.  If it's a 2 stroke he could have run it out of oil for a long time without noticing it.  If that's the case you'll have a pretty heavy canoe before too long.   ;)  Also, go ahead and replace the bilge pump, and I'd have the water pump checked out while I was at it.  He could have known exactly what he was doing.

If in fact everything is on the up and up you got a steal.

I ran into a similar deal not too long ago, but I'm glad I passed.  It was an early 90s Javelin with a 125 Evinrude on the back. The guy that bought the boat ended up getting out on the water, and his boat cavity filled with water since the bilge pump was out.

Holy crap!!! $200

why can't I find something like that. :'(

I paid twice that for my first boat and it was a 12 footer with a 6hp on it.

Good job.

I saw a boat just like that with a 120hp on it last year and they wanted $2500

Put a few hundred in that to fix it up and resell it. Double or triple your money.

If I had the space to do it that's what I'd do.
